All-Seeing-Eye and Boroque Glass Pearls Necklace, Handmade from Foraged Glass
Inspired by baroque pearls and a sailors tattoo of the all seeing eye, this unique necklace is created with found glass foraged from River Exe estuary beaches.
Created with a range of reclaimed milk glass carried by the river tides, each bead is made by heating and winding the glass in a repetitive and meditative process which results in a variety of tones and textures, with each unique piece of glass behaving in subtly different ways. The 'eyes' in the eye beads are carefully added by hand in molten reclaimed glass.
The result is a string of unique beads with subtle differences in finish, colour and texture that mimic the variety found in organic forms. The piece features a mixture of all seeing eye beads and white baroque form beads.
The beads are threaded onto a leather cord, creating patterns that are informed by both repetition and novelty. The necklace is finished with handworked glass toggles on the cord ends, and a sliding clasp also made with glass.
Each necklace comes packed in a raw cotton drawstring bag, finished with handmade beads on the drawstring.
Use the drop down list to make your choice from black leather cord or tan leather cord.
